Post-Labour Economics — Risks, Opportunities, and How to Think For Yourself is a free, self-paced course for anyone trying to understand what happens to work, income, value, and prosperity when artificial intelligence and automation begin doing more of the tasks once reserved for humans.
Across 20 lessons, the course gives learners a clear, grounded map of the post-labour debate: what “work” actually means, how previous technological shifts changed economies, what could go wrong, what could go right, and how individuals can build their own informed view instead of falling into either AI hype or AI doom. The course draws on thinkers and institutions including Keynes, Autor, Piketty, Brynjolfsson, Acemoglu, Frey and Osborne, Shapiro, the OECD, IMF, ILO, and NBER.
No economics background is required. The course is designed for a general adult audience and includes concept boards, flashcards, practice questions, further reading, a timed final exam, and a printable certificate for learners who pass. Progress is stored locally in the learner’s browser, and the course is 100% free.
